They're probably true. We're not going to mention many

of these because who knows but there is one i feel comfortable saying while i am not an insider to

this discussion i have not been a fly on the wall i have heard from enough people who know somebody

who know somebody who know somebody that i'm fairly confident saying there's some tension within the SEC right now that the SEC coaches are not happy with SEC

Commissioner Greg Sankey over the implementation of an expanded SEC schedule.

In the fall of 2026, as you know, the SEC is moving from an eight-game slate to a nine-game slate.

And there's all kinds of statistical data that I'm not necessarily smart enough to explain,

but I'm at least smart enough to find on the Internet.

Not hard to notice.

That says even in an eight-game conference schedule, the SEC was already playing a tougher schedule than the other conferences.

And this is still true in a world of which the Big Ten has won the last three national

championships.

That a lot of the math nerd types, the statistically minded folks, will say, based on ratings

and efficiencies and things like that, that the middle part of the SEC is far tougher than the Big Ten is.

Yes, you've got teams at the top of the Big Ten that, frankly, the SEC has had difficulty matching.

That's true.

Even an SEC homer like me forced to acknowledge that.

But the middle part of the SEC, according to the math, people who have their data to explain why they feel this way, still a much tougher league. And as tough as the SEC was playing an A game conference
