Summary

DawgNation Daily -- the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans Beginning of the show: I was proud today to share an exclusive interview I conducted with former Georgia great David Pollack. We discussed what's next for Gunner Stockton, the UGA defense's hopes of being more disruptive, how Kirby Smart is navigating this new era of college football and Pollack's new book, "Every Day Counts," which reveals some personal stories that I believe every Georgia fan needs to hear. 30-minute mark: DawgNation recruiting insider Jeff Sentell joins the show. 45-minute mark: I take a look at other SEC headlines including a request from new LSU coach Lane Kiffin that his fans probably won't be willing to grant. End of show: I award a Golden Shoe winner and share the Gator Hater Updater.

staples we do on every show, all of that's going to happen today. In some respects, today's

I was lucky enough yesterday to be able to sit down and record several minutes of conversation with the great former George Bulldog David Pollock. And I'm telling you, you're going to really, really like this. It's unusual for us to play an interview right off the top of the show, but that's what we're going to do. We're going to break into two parts. We're going to play a few minutes of it. I'm going to introduce the show for everybody to hear and then we're going to jump right back into it. And I was talking to our guy, Cody Chaffin's before the show began. You know, a lot of times when you have an interview situation, it becomes a peg to just be able to do the regular football talk and you say, oh yeah, by the way, you've got this thing going on, thing you want to promote. We do that kind of thing a lot. It's a trade-off. People get publicity for whatever it is they're trying to get attention to and we get a chance to have some good content with the guy we want to interview. And that's the backbone of the media in many ways. And in one respect, this sort of feels like that because David does have a brand new book.

1:45.1

But as I was telling Cody before our show began, for me, it's the stuff involving the stories that David tells in his brand new book, everyday counts, that are as important to me as anything we're going to do from a football standpoint today.

2:00.9

And all of that's here. David's thoughts on Gunter Stockton, what's going to happen with Georgia

defense and its attempt to upgrade its pass rush, how George is navigating the current

2:10.2

challenges with some teams just spending so much money in Georgia leaning in the direction

2:14.5

of player retention and how that makes Georgia unique in the

current world of college football. All of the like the hardcore football stuff, it is here,

including some, you know, pretty interesting insight on some Georgia players that David knows
