Hi, everyone. I usually start out these episodes by saying, I hope you all had a good week but it's

probably safe to say that most of you did not like myself and I'm hoping that this week's episode

brings some laughs some joy and some distraction from what is happening around the world.

You all know that I'm Jewish. I talk about it a lot, sometimes get negative podcast reviews about it,

but it is a core part of who I am and my identity. It's not just a religion, and I think that's what

a lot of people fail to understand. We are our own ethnic group, and it's a group that has

faced persecution and genocide and extermination over thousands of years. And I don't know that much about intergenerational trauma.

I'm no expert on this.

I am just starting to read and learn about it.

But I was taken aback by my body's physical response to what happened in Israel last Saturday.

It was, I was like debilitated. I could barely put myself together. I had some fight or flight

responses. And I really think that's because so many Jews have had an immediate or a grandparent,

you know, some very close family member who had to flee for their life.

And many whom did not make it out alive.

And I'm thinking of everyone this week who's been affected by the events that have happened. You know, I was thinking a little bit back to September 11th,

which is the time when the United States had a collective

trauma. And I felt like there was a little more time than to mourn those who died and to remember

them and to learn about their lives. And right now, because politicians and whoever is, like, wanting to go to war and

bombing and, you know, and it's just, there's no time it feels, it feels like to mourn what had

happened. And now we immediately have to react to all these new things and, you know,
