Here's your host, Brandon Adams. All right, we're going to go on a little bit of a wild ride just for a minute because there is a lot that's being said about the Georgia offense right now. Gunner Stockton in his role as Georgia quarterback, and we feel like it's our job, our role this time of year, just to bring some of this to you. This is what the national

outlook is on Georgia. Some of it you may agree with. Some of you may disagree with. It's all fodder

for college football conversation, which is what we really enjoy doing. And so sometimes it's

just appropriate to say, boom, here's what's being said. Do with this what you will.

I do think it's really interesting to watch the way in which the conversation has evolved as it

relates to Georgia. Keep this in mind, that if we were doing the same kind of talks this time a year

ago, we were going into a season in which Gunner Stockton, in his first full year of starting as the Georgia quarterback, was mostly being treated as a bottom 50th percentile quarterback in the SEC, 16 total teams, 16 starting quarterbacks.

If you're ranking top quarterbacks in the SEC to begin last year,

Gunner Stockton would have been in the bottom half of those rankings,

really near the lower third of SEC quarterbacks to begin the season this time a year ago.

And over the course of a full season, the Georgia starting quarterback,

let's think for a moment about just how much Gunner did to really change those expectations for himself and force folks to reconsider him as a far better quarterback than he was maybe

originally given credit for. He was, after all, in the top 10 of the Heisman voting, for

instance, had a very successful season. And now we're at a point where the same exercises are being done.

Here's a ranking of all the SEC quarterbacks. All of a sudden now, you don't see Gunner

at the bottom of these lists anymore. rightly so you see Gunner up near the top. Full

season's worth of experience, a year in which he mostly played well. On the sudden now, Gunner is getting a lot more love from these national websites and their

rankings and their lists and things like that.
