There is something that I have really grown to love, and we've gotten a chance to enjoy that in recent years, where it seems like every year at the NFL scouting combine, a Georgia player, a collection of Georgia players will do something.

And every, you know, GM, the scouts, the media people that are there for this event that

stands as the, I guess, the precursor to the NFL draft, it's almost like the jaws are dropped

and there's buzz, there's chatter.

And it just seems like we've gotten very used to seeing that from former Georgia players

and I guess it probably most prominently started ahead of the 2022 draft when Georgia put five

first rounders in the draft that year all of them on defense guys like Jordan Davis and

you know Devante White and others, their overall

testing and performance, Trayvon Walker, of course, a number one overall that year was so awe

inspiring that just anywhere you turned on the NFL network and anything like that, they were

talking about these former dogs.

Now, because this year, maybe my perception is different than yours,

but because this year it seems like the chatter about Georgia leading into the NFL draft

a little quieter than normal, I didn't quite know if we were going to get the wow factor,

big combined performance, the kind of thing that is a Georgia fan you just take a little extra

pride in it's not a hugely consequential thing and you know it probably matters more to us than maybe

it does to more casual fans but you like to hear good things said about your favorite team in an event

like this and going into this year's combine I wasn't quite so sure we would get this in the exact same way we've gotten the past.

But boy, over the course of the weekend, we really did in the person of Monroe Freeling, former offensive tackle of Georgia.
