Summary

This week on the podcast, the guys talk about the Detroit Lions dominating win over the Chicago Bears, how that impacts the playoff picture, and what Detroit needs to do in order to make the postseason. Then the fellas take a deep dive into the Green Bay Packers, who the Lions will face on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 18.

The guys also take a look at the team’s latest roster moves, the injury report, and discuss their approach to this week’s game. As always, they wrap up by going position-by-position through the Packers’ roster, discussing how the Lions will try and take advantage.

Just a reminder, if you like our show you can subscribe using iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Stitcher, or Podbean.

0:08.7

Eric, here we are, week 18.

0:11.8

And who would have thunk it?

0:13.6

The Lions have an outside chance at making the playoffs with a, you know,

0:17.9

first off, a resounding win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, 41 to 10.

0:23.7

The Bears didn't stand a chance outside of that first drive they had.

0:28.1

And it puts them at lines at 8 and 8.

0:31.1

And they got the Packers this Sunday.

0:32.6

We've got to, might be the, this is the biggest week the lines have had since you and I started this podcast. Yeah, very, yeah, what the, this is probably the biggest game since 2017, right? Well, yeah. Well, it really, like I, I would say this game is even bigger than that playoff game because the 2016 season, you know, that Stafford breaks

0:55.4

as what was his middle finger on his throwing hand and they blow the last three games.

1:00.1

They were, what, nine and four lose the last three, lose out on winning the division championship,

1:04.8

I believe to the same same Green Bay Packers in the last week, but they still back into the playoffs.

1:11.0

And, you know, they went to Seattle.

1:13.3

And I don't think anybody gave the Lions a shot.

1:15.5

And they, you know, didn't really play well in the game.

1:19.5

Didn't really show up.

1:20.1

It was similar to the last three weeks of the regular season.

1:23.4

So this game's bigger than that.

1:25.3

Because I think in 2016, everybody's like, well, we know what's coming.

1:29.1

Probably the biggest game since the Dallas debacle back in 2014 or the 2015 playoffs

1:35.2

with the questionable pass interference call and then the Sam Martin shanked punt and, you know, all that stuff.
