Welcome to Courtside, everyone, a discussion of the post-election litigation brought by Donald Trump. It's day 33 after the election. It's Sunday. So that means yet another Sunday that Joe Biden is the president-elect. But not notably in the mind of one Donald Trump. He traveled to Georgia on Air Force One with his entourage, all avoiding him and wanting to take selfies because they knew it was one of their last rides on Air Force One.

In Georgia, his 90-minute speech started off, I guess, on Earth.

He said, quote, I think they said if you win Florida and you in Ohio, in history, you've never lost an election.

This has got to be the first time. Okay, so sounds good. Even he acknowledges this he lost. That's the first time. But then things degenerated. He said, quote, we're winning this election. I'm not sure what election that is, maybe on Earth 2, but not in the one in the United States. And then things got really weird. Here's what he said. Blueberries, peppers, squash and cucumbers. Who does cucumbers

around here? Because I like cucumbers. I'm the only one. Yes, Mr. President, you are the only

one who likes cucumbers. And you're winning this election.

Okay, so the court count, still one out of 47 victories for Trump, and the one didn't matter.

It's Sunday, so the courts are closed.

But there's a little action happening.

So first of all, the safe harbor deadline is approaching. We've talked about that before. That's on December 8th. And Biden has 288 votes, which is over the 270 vote threshold right now. We have New Jersey and Hawaii is still outstanding. They haven't certified yet. But on December 8th, Congress is going to accept these results as final.

And then on December 14th, the Electoral College will meet to submit their votes.

So really, the big action today, there's only really one thing that happened, and it's in the U.S. Supreme Court.

So you may remember that big case out of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court,

where Trump allies tried to get the entire Pennsylvania election decertified in all of its

electors because gasp they allowed for mail-in voting. Well, that went nowhere. And so the Trumpistas

went on an emergency application to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Now, I want to pause here. Here's your moment of civic, so I can just make sure everyone understands

how a case gets to the Supreme Court. Here's how it doesn't get to the Supreme Court. Donald

Trump said, we're going to file a case in the Supreme Court before. You can't do that. You've got to

go through two different paths. One is a

path in federal court. So you go first to federal trial court, and then the federal court of appeals,
