Hey friends, this is Jennifer and welcome back to the podcast. This is episode number 259 where we talk about the riches in the niches.

And so if you have never heard that saying before, that's what a lot of people in the online space talk about in terms of niching down and getting really specific about who your target market is.

It always makes me pause because I'm like, is it the riches are in the niches or niches or niches?

Anybody else? I'm like, is it niche? Is it niche? Is it niche? Is it niche? And then I just find myself going bonkers.

But either way, the truth of the matter is, is that there's a lot of truth to like niching down in terms of being one of the very best things you can do for your business, especially in the beginning,

while you're still trying to get known for one thing, recognized for one thing, etc.

There's a saying that you can't be for everybody. If you're for everybody, you're for nobody.

And we do have ladies come into my coaching group often who are like, I just want to serve women and let them know that God loves them to which I will say, okay, that's precious.

But just as decent human beings, we should be letting people know that God loves them.

Well, I just want to encourage women, okay, well, that's that's fabulous. But as again, just a decent human being, you should be encouraging everybody.

So how can we like niche that down? And I know that it's usually really difficult for women because they want to help everybody, right?

I mean, our very, the way that God wired us as women is to be helpers and to be, you know, people that we love and we nurture.

And we don't just say it and only for these people and not for that, that's not really in our DNA.

And yet, so that it's counterintuitive when you're wanting to grow your business to go smaller, right?

Because it usually what happens is women are coming into my groups and they're saying, okay, I'm taking your program, Jen, because I need my business to grow. Okay, fabulous.

So let's talk about niching down who your ideal client is, who your avatar is to which they're like, well, I just want to like serve all women.

Well, you can't serve all women because when you serve all women, you serve no women.

It's when it's too vanilla, I promise you, no one is going to be interested in it because they don't know what sets you apart from anybody else and they can't figure out exactly why something is for them.
