Summary

This week Mandy has Chelsea (@ohnochels) on the podcast for an in depth discussion on mental health issues, Bravo, the fandom, and social media. In addition to being co-host of the I Am The Cute One: A Nostalgia Podcast, Chelsea is a mental health professional. She shares what certain mental health terminology mean, answers questions about ethics in counseling, and provides her thoughts on the reasoning people behave different on social media than in their real lives.

Hi, everyone. I hope you had a fabulous week. So I have a treat for you all today. I'm doing an in-depth

0:42.9

episode on Bravo fans, mental health and social media with Chelsea at Ono Chels, who you guys all know

0:52.6

from the I Am the Cute One and Nostalgia podcast.

0:56.5

Chelsea and Donnie are so funny, and if you've not listened to their podcast, run, don't walk to go download it.

1:03.5

It is just, it's the best.

1:06.0

But Chelsea in her day-to-day life is a mental health professional, and she doesn't talk about it that

1:36.2

shouldn't use it, some questions about ethics and counseling that I have brought up, I think,

1:43.0

before. And then especially getting into behavior on social media and why it is so different sometimes

1:50.7

from people's behavior in their real lives.

1:54.6

And I had come across the online disinhibition effect, which was created or discovered in 2004 by a cyber psychologist

2:05.5

named John Seuler. And I had reached out to him. I haven't yet found a way to get in touch,

2:11.7

but I'm very fascinated with this phenomenon and wanted to sit down and talk to an actual mental health

2:20.0

professional about it. So we kind of get really in depth about a lot of these topics. We share a lot

2:27.3

of opinions. You may agree. You may disagree. But please be kind to Chelsea in any comments that you make.

2:35.6

And as always, you can DM me and share your thoughts whether you agree or disagree with things in the episode.

2:44.3

You know, as always, if you like the podcast, go ahead, give it a five-star rating and leave a kind review, but, you know, I'm always
