Our question this episode comes from Andy L. who asks,

Everyone knows that Duran Martel waited too long for his revenge on Tywin and House Lannister.

What this question presupposes is, maybe he didn't.

There are 15 years between the death of A.ia and her children in 283C.

And the death of Robert in 298.

But when exactly in that period were the blood oranges at their ripest?

Duran was surely correct to overrule Oberyn's rash move to call the Spears for an infant Viceris. And no one can seriously think Dorn missed out on fire and blood by sitting out the first Greyjoy Rebellion. When should Duran have made this move? That's a fair question, a fair point. I don't think there's a good time to declare for Viceris as in terms of who Viceris turned out to be. So maybe there is no good answer to that.

Yeah. Maybe, maybe the best I can come up with is like right now instead of still waiting on Quentin to go and get Dineris.
