Coming off a weekend in which Georgia did not play, hard to imagine we could be any busier than we are today, but we are jam-packed and ready to go on what is a rainy Monday.

We'll get to the big news involving Brian Kelly in a moment and the vantage point from which I think the Georgia fans should look at that.

But let me begin with this.

There was interesting Georgia recruiting news over the weekend as the five-star

quarterback commitment to the University of Georgia. Jared Curtis visited Vanderbilt.

And I want to talk about this from a couple of different angles. I think it all leads to me saying

that over the course of the last couple of years, I think for me, I've noticed a real

evolution in the way that I think about college football and some massive concerns that I have had.

I can't be 100% sure those concerns are totally alleviated, but boy, I'm in a lot better

spirits about it than I once was and a lot more

optimistic about the future of college football than maybe I was a year ago, two years ago,

however far you want to go back in the past. So let me sit it up this way. So as we talked

about it on Friday show, Jared Curtis, who is a Nashville guy, had had Diego Pavia, the Vanderbilt quarterback, come see him

at a practice. Obviously, Vanderbilt shooting its shot with a local kid. And to that standpoint,

why would you not? If you're Vandy, of course you would, especially in the midst of a good season

they are having. As a gesture of kindness in response to that, Curtis was going to go to the Vanderbilt

Missouri game on Saturday.
