You know, one of the things I say a lot is that my job in many ways is narrating the experience of being a Georgia fan as we've gone through this incredible run that George has been on.

Let me tell what I think that means here today in that, look, I love sitting in this chair, we love talking football, we love analyzing everything as it relates to football, We love getting into the weeds and all the

various things that contribute to Georgia's wins and losses. And we're going to do a lot of that

here over the course of this week, the next couple of weeks. Of course we will. That's just what

we live for. And yet, I think on this particular day, we try to do this Saturday night, if you

saw our Dog Nation post game show, hope you were a part of that too. In addition to all of that, there's also something

to be said for before you get into the nuts and bolts of the game and you break it all down,

there is something to be said for just feeling the emotion, just feeling the sense of elation and the

happiness that Georgia won the game. And yet I realize that there's more than just that one

sentence that matters. A, this is a brand new era for college football in that, let's say that the kick had been made and George would have lost the game. Well, how we feel about Georgia, technically speaking, should be still similar. I think most of us go into the rest of the season saying, man, Georgia's got a chance to be a real good team. They're going to maybe lose a game eventually, but they've got a chance to be a real good team. Let's say the kick had been made. We will say, oh, well, Georgia lost this game, but they've only got

two more, you know, true road games left, and yeah, they can lose this and shake it off and still

be good. Other words, our overall analysis of what Georgia is as a team doesn't change very much because a late field goal got missed

and what would have been maybe a Georgia loss had the chance to be a Georgia win.

The overall analysis is probably not all that different.

It's a brand new era for college football.

The playoff is expanded.

The SEC schedule has never been tougher.

And the way we think about Georgia and Georgia's chief competition is, of course, different

because all of that.
