So last year, I would suspect that at times, Georgia was not a particularly happy team.

And I don't necessarily want to relitigate the past on this.

I think most of you have a similar sense.

And to be clear, I don't put the blame for that on any one person or any one player.

I think that's a more complicated story than just, well, it's so-and-so's fault that all

that went down.

I truly believe that.

And I have my reasons for feeling that way.

But whatever was going on, I think the end result was at times a year ago,

Georgia just didn't come across as particularly happy, collectively speaking, as a team.

And it did not really seem like necessarily everybody was having just tons of fun going through

this. Some of this is educated guests. Some of this is

hearing from, as I like to say, somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody.

And in some cases, this has also been explicitly said to us in a very public way. And we shouldn't miss

that. For instance, back early in August, we talked about something that Kirby Smart had said

when we were still in the preseason portion of the year, that obviously the charge to the

Georgia players this year is to play with fire, passion, and energy.

And how many times have you heard Kirby Smart say
