Summary

On today's episode I break down the Kings evening from last night's NBA Draft. I love the move the Kings made when they traded the 24th pick and Richaun Holmes to the Mavs. The Kings now have over $30 million in cap room to seek a free agent. Holmes wasn't in the Kings plans moving forward and he didn't want to stay here so it's a win win. Now let's see what the Kings do with the cap space, but they just became a player in the soon to be free agent period! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

M. E. W.R.X plumbing.. The NBA draft is in the books. And I think when you look at all the

0:57.3

players selected, the one lock appears, and again I always have to use the word

1:02.0

appears, that would be the San Antonio spurs with

1:06.3

vector Wembanyama most people have Wembey as a can't miss product fine andandy. Let's now go down to number 24 where the

1:15.8

Sacramento Kings were on the clock and ended up trading the pick along with

1:20.1

Rashan Holmes to the Dallas Mavericks.

1:23.2

The chances of the Kings getting an impact player

1:26.7

or a really good player at 24 was on the Slim side.

1:31.0

Yes, it can happen. All you have to do is look at a guy like

1:33.9

Nicola Yolkich and look where he was drafted and the impact that he's had on

1:38.2

the Denver nuggets. So there are players that you can take later in the draft that can turn your franchise around.

1:45.0

But that is a rarity, it doesn't happen very often.

1:49.0

I love what the Kings did last night. I thought they hit an absolute home run with the

1:58.9

bases loaded. That's how good I think the move was. Here's the deal. You got rid of the contract of

2:06.8

Roshon Holmes who did not want to be in Sacramento anymore. He was not one of the

2:11.8

top ten players in Mike Brown's rotation. He was not one of the top 10 players in Mike Brown's rotation. He was not going to play this year. So you give up a player that's really not part of the equation. You get all of that money back and you don't have to worry about a

2:26.2

player at number 24 and when I mean worry pay a rookie contract bring them them along. The Kings are ready to win right now.
