So in the second half of the show, I'm going to tell you about an very online figure who

ended up in very, very hot water over his shitpost. But before we get to that, Isaac, I want to

talk about you for a little bit. I have to admit, I did not pay all that much attention to

tangle until fairly recently. I followed you. I knew it existed. I followed you on Twitter.

Brian Reed. He's the creator of Estown. S-Town was a side project from this American Life. It came out

in 2017. People might remember it. It was about a small town in Alabama and this specific guy who lived there,

and the show is a massive success, downloaded many millions of times. And after it came out,

Brian Reed, the host, he was criticized by some listeners and critics for the way he handled it,

for the basic premise of the show. He was essentially accused of exploiting his main character.
