Well, hello friends, it's Jennifer and welcome back to the podcast. So this is podcast episode number 250 and I gotta just tell you I'm not I'm not a hundred percent.

I've got a hearing infection and an a sinus infection and so my voice is a little raspy. I'm trying my best to like, you know,

try to channel my inner Demi Moore, not not literally I don't believe in channeling don't do that, you know, me want to know that's a joke, hopefully.

But anyhow, so this is my best Demi Moore impression, which is not Demi Moore at all.

But any who here I am, I still want to do the podcast regardless of how I feel and I'm sounding today because we are celebrating my 250th episode you guys 250 and that is worth celebrating.

I remember when I started this podcast almost five years ago, it'll be five years in February and so much has happened both personally and professionally in the last five years since starting this podcast.

But I thought I would take this episode today just to kind of give you an overview of the last five years just to more than anything else encourage some of you.

There's a saying that we overestimate where we can accomplish in a year, but we really underestimate where we can accomplish in five.

And I don't know who originally said that, but I love that saying that sometimes, you know, we look back as I'm reporting this right now, we're still in December.

And I do apologize if I have a little coughing on this episode.

And I'm thinking, oh my gosh, I wish that I had done this this and this yet in 2021. However, you know, so I'm so I overestimated what I could do this year.

But when I look back on the last five years, I'm like, oh my gosh, so much has changed.

And so let this be an encouragement for some of you today who maybe are not where you want to be, but my goodness, I bet you are not where you were five years ago.

And sometimes, especially as entrepreneurs, we do a really bad job of stopping to pause and and really just look back on what we've done and what we've accomplished.

And so look back at where you were five years ago, and then send me a DM on Instagram, I bet you've come so much further than what you feel like you have.

And so just thinking about the first podcast episode I ever did it aired on Valentine's Day in 2017.

And the entire reason, and by the way, it was the first episode was entitled the secret sauce to decorating success. So originally, I kind of started out talking about decorating in DIY.

And then we've evolved into really a business podcast where I bring faith into all of my business teachings. And so let me just encourage you also that if you've ever considered starting a podcast, but you're like, what would I talk about? Well, you know what, just start talking about something.
