Hey guys, welcome to another episode of Off Air with Carmen. I'm really excited about my

guest today. Summer Gordon, just to kind of give you the backstory. I met

Summer back in 2017. We did this thing called Joy Stories where we would video people's stories.

And Summer and her husband Rep were our very first Joy Story.

They had walked through every parent's worst nightmare.

And you're going to hear the whole story in just a couple of minutes.

Since then, they have written a book called Hope Remains where they just kind of walk through this

journey that they never expected to be on, never wanted to be on.

But man, Summer's perspective and what she has learned through

walking through grief and just her leaning into the Lord, I'll just tell you

this. This woman inspires me so I'm very eager for you to hear our

conversation I do want to give you one heads up we had a bad cable to one of the mics, so enter sporadically, I don't even know if that's a word,

but sporadically throughout this podcast. You're going to hear a little bit of a crackling. It's kind of underneath. Don't let that distract you.

So I want to get into talking about Sawyer today and you know we shared your story goodness was

it in 2017 it he passed away in August 2016 so yeah he probably shared it in 2017.

You are our very first Joy story.
