Hello, welcome to the Dice Tower.

I'm Eric Sommerer.

This is a little bit different.

You'll notice Tom, the usual host for your classic episodes, isn't here.

If you haven't heard, if you haven't been reading the Guild at Board Game Geek or following Tom on Facebook,

Tom's wife Laura went into labor two months early with their son Jack and Jack has

come early he's in the NICU and and Tom is taking time off to be with his family and he needs to do that.

But we wanted to keep the episodes going, give you something to listen to as we approach

Thanksgiving.

And Tom asked me to give some commentary on this episode, which is kind of cool because I started listening to the Dice Tower in the early 30s as far as episodes go. So I actually haven't heard this one so it's kind of

cool to go back and hear this. I'm kind of listening to it with you if you haven't heard

these classic episodes. If you remember from the previous episode, Tom and Joe had been doing a contest

for Memoir 44. You had to argue whether or not Memoir 44 was a simulation and that argument has been going on for some time.

So I'm interested to hear how that's going to go.
