There was a thing we've kind of gotten used to seeing on the internet every year. And, you know, it's different now because, like Dennis Dodd, the guy from CBS Sports used to be the one that writes. And now he does and he's retired. But it's the hot seat rankings from CBS Sports. We're actually going to get into this a little bit later on about the SEC coaches who are sort of fighting for their jobs here in 2025.

To be honest, that's a fun discussion for us because a lot of these coaches sort of fighting for their jobs, seeing themselves in the hot seat.

Kirby Smart's sort of the one that put them there, so that's kind of funny to us.

We'll get to that here coming up in just a little bit.

But as far as like the Kirby Smart part of all this, you're not surprised to know

that Smart is like the least hot hottest seat in all of college football, according to CBS sports

in their rankings. He is essentially, as they describe, untouchable. And we did some of this last

week on the show about, you know, smart's kind of going into year 10. He's not the young coach,

hungry to prove what he's all about, ambition on full display, although I think he's just

as ambitious as he ever was. That's not the defining characteristic of Kirby Smart. That smart is,

he's not an old man, but he is kind of becoming college football's version of an elder statesman.

He is a coach very much in the prime of his career with some experience now.

And I think the key defining characteristic of Kirby Smart,

if he's not on the hot seat and if he's not fighting for his job,

the other side of that is I don't know that there's any program in college football more stable than Georgia's is with a coach in a more stable situation than what Kirby Smart finds himself in.

And as we've said before, this is not the thing that I think Georgia fans should take for granted, nor do I think they do take this for granted, because we have endured a lot of imposed chaos on college football in the last few years.
