Summary

T.H. Irwin and Jessica Klingbaum, co-founders of the online platform exEXPERTS, return to the podcast this week to talk about divorced mom moments. When going through a divorce, the primary emphasis is often on the emotional and mental preparation and the legal requirements to navigate through the process. However, there's an unforeseen facet to the experience, including unexpected yet significant moments of being a divorced parent.

In this episode,  T.H., Jessica, and I discuss some of the less anticipated aspects of divorce that demand resilience and adaptability - like maintaining a home, asking for help, and middle-of-the-night emergencies.

Featured topics include:

  • In case of emergency: how to anticipate and prepare for critical moments (5:07)
  • Enhance your home management skills with practical tips for maintenance and handling unexpected emergencies. (16:08)
  • Helping your kids through divorce as a co-parent (20:22)
  • Embrace the reality that being an engaged parent, rather than a supermom, makes a lasting impact on your kids. Even the smallest gestures matter. (31:37)
  • Recognize the importance of asking for help when needed (42:44)

Learn more about T.H. Irwin and Jessica Klingbaum:

T.H. Irwin and Jessica Klingbaum (kling-bomb) are the co-founders of the online platform, exEXPERTS. They're best friends who got divorced at the same time 14 years ago, but had TOTALLY different divorce experiences. They realized back then that they didn't have the right resources to understand all the options and the different choices they needed to make, but they did have each other. So they used their own divorce experiences to create a place online where anyone can go for any phase of divorce, to answer all the questions and to feel educated about the process and everything that goes into it. As they like to say, they've lived it, so they get it!
