One of the things you kind of hear me say sometimes this time of year is we're sort of operating

a little bit of a summer cadence.

We like to be relaxed.

I love summer.

And so we kind of operate on a little bit of a casual, kind of a friendly conversation.

We're just sort of kicking stuff around, kind of riffing, shooting from the hip sometimes.

And that's always really good.

However, though, concurrent to our sort of waiting game for the season to begin,

there is also a lot of very heavy lifting, serious work being done with the class of 2026.

And I don't know if you're like me, you know, not everybody in our audience follows recruiting.

Many of you do. For those of you that do, I don't know if you're like me. You know, not everybody in our audience follows recruiting. Many of you do.

For those of you that do, I don't know if you're like me, but it just seems like we are just

holding on with both hands to try to keep up with the pace with which all of this is happening.

Now, for every recruiting cycle since 2018, the first year of the early

signing period in December, we have seen a greater emphasis on the summer. If you want to go back to

what recruiting used to be, you know, about a decade ago or so, back then it's like one signing

day in February. The action happened then in the winter leading to that February Wednesday.

And so, therefore, the summer was kind of a time that coaches could take a little bit of vacation.
