joining us for episode 247 is a multi-grammy winning American Songwriter and musician. He's best known as a founding member of and principal songwriter for the legendary Toto and responsible for penning such enduring classics as Rosanna, Africa, Hold the Line, 99 and Georgie Porgi to name a few.

He's also a staggeringly prolific session musician who's played on an estimated 2,000 recordings.

David was born in Los Angeles in 1954 and raised in Residee in the San Fernando Valley.

His dad was the eminent jazz musician and arranger Marty Page, so music was very much in his

blood and as a kid he would often attend his father's recording sessions where he

rubbed shoulders with the likes of Ray Charles, Duke

Our guest first gravitated towards the drums, but at his dad's encouragement took up piano

lessons aged 8.
