Here's your host, Brandon Adam. I love a good Kirby Smart rant. That's always good fun, easy content.

People kind of like that sort of thing.

Smart kind of gets passionate about certain topics.

You just fire the clip, you let it play, and it kind of does the work for you.

Sometimes we like that.

But sometimes these rants become more than just emotional outburst.

Sometimes they actually kind of prove

to be a little bit prophetic. We're going to give you an example of that here coming up in a

moment. And I feel like when it comes to Kirby Smart, there's a lot of this where at times it

almost seems like, well, maybe Kirby's a little bit behind the times.

But actually, when you watch events play out, sometimes like a lot of successful leaders,

smarts ideas and his viewpoint, his perspective, actually ends up being kind of a head of a

trend every now and then.

I'll give you an example of something

completely different. Then we'll talk about what's going on here right now. If you want to go back to

prior to Georgia winning its two national championships under Smart and really even kind of

pre-pandemic, think about early years of Smart, 17, 2018, 2019. The big knock on Kirby at the time was

Kirby is a pretty good defensive coach, and he's kind of gotten to a certain level by playing

defense and running the football. But if he wants to win national championships, he's going to have to become more like
