Welcome to Queer Rounds, the Clinical Problem Solver series on LGBTIQI Plus Health.

We want to start by thanking the rest of the clinical problem solvers family for giving us this platform to highlight the reality of gender and sexual diverse communities in healthcare

and how transphobia and homophobia are root causes of health disparities.

This project began because we experienced a lack of education during our medical training regarding

LGBTQI plus health and as queer individuals ourselves, we know the

importance of having help providers that recognize our experience. So let's begin with the vision

and mission of queer rounds. Our mission is to give you our listener the tools to give better

care to your LGBTIQI plus patients. Our vision, which is what we hope the future of the

series will be, is an educational resource for anyone who is looking to practice inclusivity.

We're passionate about this project because it is going to be a learning experience of both you

and us. So don't worry, we'll have a lot of questioning and deconstruction to do.

I will begin by introducing myself before passing the mic to my fellow team members.

My name is Valé, I use she-her pronouns, and I'm a medical student from Peru.

I am passionate about the intersection between medicine, neurology specifically, and transgender health, as well as medical education.

Outside of medicine, I love running and hiking,
