pilot Howard Snyder and the crew of the B-17, Susan Ruth.

Shot Down covers the events leading up to and after the crew of the B-17, Susan Ruth,

is shot down over the French Belgian border on February 8, 1944.

Of the 10-man crew, some died, some ended up in prison camps, and some evaded capture.

So I have to say first off, when I hear about books like yours, I have two questions.

Two questions immediately come to mind for me because this is a personal experience

for you.

So one, I would love to know how this book came about if you could just tell us a little

bit about the journey of your book.

Okay.

Well, I retired from my career job in 2009.

I worked 36 years for a company called Vision Service Plan, VSP, which provides vision

care benefits that corporations offer their employees for eye-examinal glasses, contact

lenses.

I was in sales and sales management there, and I had no writing background at all.
