Summary

0:38.4	sharing a little bit about how you came to know the Lord and then fast forward? Where are you at now?
0:43.0	Sure. Be happy to. So I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. That's where I grew up. I was blessed to
0:50.1	grow up in a home with two parents that loved Jesus and taught us that early. Unfortunately,
0:57.7	I really didn't have any interest in Jesus, or I believed that I was a sinner, and I could
1:08.2	understand that Jesus was my Savior, but I definitely had no interest in him being my king or having anything to do with my day-to-day life.
1:17.0	Like your boss.
1:18.2	Exactly.
1:19.8	And so it wasn't until I went off to college that the Holy Spirit really made that truth come alive to me and understand it for the first time.
1:29.7	And I felt like I could hit the ground running at that time because my parents were faithful to
1:34.4	disciple me, teach me scripture. I had a lot of head knowledge at that point, but it wasn't turned on.
1:42.4	And that really changed when I was in college.
1:45.1	It was the first time that I met other people that other Christians that were peers that I respected and wanted to be like.
1:55.3	I thought growing up that if you were a Christian, it meant that you were a loser and you couldn't have any fun,
2:02.9	and I wanted nothing to do with it. And so started walking with the Lord in college,
2:10.2	moved to New York City, was there for a couple years, and then moved to Dallas eight years ago.
