Summary
This week on the podcast, the fellas do something they haven’t done before and stack the Detroit Lions roster into tiers. This is something Erik used to frequently do, in article form, during the offseason, but hasn’t revisited the concept in the past two years.
In this episode, not only do the guys stack the roster, but they do it as a collaborative project during the show. By not planning out players’ tier placement ahead of the episode, Erik and Joe are hoping to present listeners with a behind-the-scenes look at how the process unfolds as well as the conversations had about controversial players.
Currently, the Lions have 89 players on the roster and they will be grouped into the following categories:
- Impact players
- Core players
- Projected starters
- Role players
- Final Depth of 53-man roster
- On the fringe
- Work to do
