Summary

Today we welcome back one of my favorite guests I've ever had on the show. Eric King did nearly 10 years in federal prison and several years of it was spent inside the ADX Supermax in Florence, Colorado. We catch up with him and talk about his new book, prison life, mobsters, killers and so much more. One of my favorite conversations I've had on here in awhile! Please go buy Eric's book here- https://www.amazon.com/Clean-Hell-Abolition-Americas-Notorious/dp/B0F1XFH126

We're going to do something today that I can't say I don't think I've ever actually done.

1:20.5

I may have interviewed one or two people for a second time, but it's pretty rare.

1:26.8

You know, I feel like to me, I like doing something along the lines of, I don't like sequels a lot of the time.

1:27.6

I think films are best when they're just stand alone. I think sometimes you try to do too much. But then there are

1:33.1

guests that I, seemingly don't forget or I just want to speak to again. And today's guest

1:39.4

fits that bill. I will say, there were a lot of either really positive comments about him or really

1:46.8

negative. But there's one thing I'll say about our guest today. He is the real deal. Okay. He doesn't

1:52.8

bullshit. His life has been affected because he's trying to fight for something. He believes that

1:58.6

what he's fighting for is more important than,

2:01.3

let's say, comfort or whatever else. And again, in this day and age, unfortunately,

2:07.1

we live in a world where people like him, sadly, you just put into a box. On this show,

2:13.5

though, we have discussion. We talk. I may not agree with him on everything. He may not agree with me on everything. But I think there's something beautiful today in a world where people like me and this individual can still be cool. We can still be friends. I can support him and he can support me. And I have to say he shouted me out in his book, which I'm very happy about. I want to tell you about it here.
