I would say the most frustrating thing for me right now in our ongoing college football

conversation, both as someone who kind of does this for a living, but also just enjoys

talking college football with my friends and just as a way of kind of, you know, kind of a pastime.

The most frustrating thing is, is that the absolute number one hot topic that

dominates every discussion in some form or fashion comes with so little verifiable proof

of what's actually going on. I'm talking about NIL. You can't talk about anything related to

how teams are trying to get better,

who's going to win championships, or anything like that.

You can't have any of those discussions without talking about what the teams are paying,

the players that they're playing on the field.

But when it comes to the real specifics of what's actually going on here,

all we really have is rumor and innuendo and whispers and a lot of people who frankly have

a fairly strong incentive to lie. And that leaves the prevailing narrative, the hot topic conversation, pretty cloudy in terms of what's

actually going on. Perhaps an example of that to kick things off here today. On 3 has done a

story where kind of behind the scenes, anonymous sources, people who work for various collectives,

talking about what happened for the class of

2025 and the role that NIL played and how that class came together.

And in one aspect of the story, Georgia was praised for, you know, not quite using this word,
