Emma, I'm so glad to be here. Thank you for having me. This is so fun to just sit across the table with a friend and talk about God's word.

Yes. I mean, you work at Watermark. So we see each other somewhat regularly.

We office on different floors.

But I realized as we were getting ready to hit the record button, I don't think I've ever heard your story.

Yeah.

And that's what we do on this podcast.

We get to know each other.

So tell me about you.

How did you come to know the Lord?

And then for those who don't know you, fast forward to today. Yeah, love it. I truly cannot remember a time not knowing who the Lord was or what the gospel was.

The Lord gifted me with a really solid family where I grew up in a church knowing the gospel,

but it took me a while to truly believe in God's grace over my life. I grew up with a really

legalistic mindset where I felt like I had to do things to earn God's love or earn his favor

or earn his acceptance. And so for a while, really up until my last year of high school

and in college, I knew that I loved God. I knew that I wanted

to follow him. I didn't know quite how. And it was in the senior year of high school that I really

submit in my life to the Lord and saw him as my Lord and my Savior. And as one who really loved me

and wanted a relationship with me. Whereas beforehand, I could see that he was a king,
