And I put it on. I'm like, me and JP pulls this off. And it's like normal. And I'm like, are you look great, dude? Oh, thank you. I mean, honestly, I mean, and I'm not this isn't even a joke. I didn't realize you were wearing a tracksuit. We're in there. You wear Baylor stuff all the time. Totally. I just wear jeans. He does have a Jordan's on those two games. Way up. Guys, guys. Okay. talk about his book. And I'm like, we've already done that. Because when I read it, read the book, I was like, all about it. You've been talking about this book for months. Yeah. They all God. The all of God is the book. We talked about it on here before, because it's the only book in the history of my five years of being here. It's the only book I've asked the entire church to read. And the reason I did is because my publisher, I just signed with with W publishing. Thank you, Nate. I appreciate that. And and they he the guy.

They gave me a copy and said, this is the best book I've ever read since the Bible. Wow. And I was like, well, that endorsement. I'll read it. And then I was so encouraged. So so we need to bring on the author himself, John Bevere. John Bevere's on the show today. Come on. Thanks for jumping in with us. Oh, it's so good to be with you all. And I love your tracks. It's your your your gardens and everything. Yeah, this is what's crazy. You didn't say it was track suit podcast. And I got my track suit on. Stop it.

That's the Lord. We're all in the spirit, I guess. That is the Lord. Everyone except for Kathy, which I can't tell you, John, I'm out of the spirit. It's not that I'm surprised that she's not in the spirit. So I give her a break. She just had a baby this year. Thank you. Thank you. That's a lot of work. My wife had four babies. So come on. I remember we had her on. And I think we were debating or thinking about having a fourth kid. And I asked her about it. And I feel like she like sold me. Yes. Kathy said.

Yes. Is this the first time we've had a third family member on the podcast? Surely this is a record. Yes. You're the third Bevere on the pod. We got big pop. Well, you had a better two on before me. So let's go. So she was sharing your story. And I just remember it being kind of crazy because you were doing like campus evangelism. And she was like one of the people that was evangelized. Am I remembering that correctly? So I let her to the Lord on our first day. I got saved.

What are you talking about? Hey, guys, and just real quick. Don't missionary date. Okay. Don't missionary date. It works. I'm for it as long as you're you stay in the spirit. No, she got saved about one third in the morning on Purdue's campus. I had gotten saved my sophomore year. I was in my senior about three weeks away from graduation. And she was the most gorgeous girl I'd ever seen in my life. And she was the wildest girl on Purdue's campus. Wow.

I remember everybody thought I backslid when I brought her took her out. And it was it was the first time I dated somebody in two and a half years. Because I I basically said to the Lord, I said, I'm not dating another girl to you bring my wife because it just didn't work out the dating thing very well. There was about three three or four before before I did made the decision. Okay, no more dating. I remember I made the statement to God. I said, you brought me to add and bring my wife to me. And here she came up to me and said, I think my mom's going to cult.

And I have some questions and somebody told me to talk to you because I was leading an all-campus Bible study for sorority and fraternity people. So that's how we met. Purdue's got a great place in my life. It's where I met Jesus. That's where I met my wife. Let's go. I love that man. And so it's that's really what I want to dive in. And so the in the off God. Guys, get this book. It's a divo. And I'm trying to remember how many days it's been a minute since I read it. You remember?

So 42 day divo. So it just has a short reading lots of Bible in it. And so you just read a, you know, a section every morning and it kind of builds as you go throughout the book, you're getting a picture of God.

But as we as we talk about being in the spirit and just I read this and I'm like, man, you and I believe in the same God, we pray to the same God, we're sons of the same God.

And yet our perspective of that God, I'm confident is different. And even at the early in the book, you tell this story of, you were preaching somewhere, I think it was Brazil, but I could be mistaken. And there was just like a wind, like a, a holy wind that blows through that place that everyone heard, everyone was impacted by the security.

Like it wasn't from the outside. You talked with someone afterwards. You're like, hey, did you guys hear that? They said, no, it was this inexplicable just gush of wind. You remember this?

Oh, yeah, I do. I'll never forget it. Actually, I had just three years earlier, really become interested in understanding what the holy, healthy fear of God is because I actually was visiting one of the most famous people for all the wrong reasons in prison in 1994.
