Anyway, we were lucky enough to get Andrew Roberts onto the Cold War show.

I'm great. We are about to interview one of the, I guess, preeminent history writers on the planet

Andrew Roberts. His books always tend to end up on the New York Times bestseller lists,

whereas most historians who write books are lucky to sell a few thousand copies.

I had the pleasure of interviewing him a few years ago on my Napoleon show with David Markham

when Andrew had his book out on Napoleon. And now he's got a new mega 1,000-page biography out on Winston Churchill.

Now, of course, we have spent, God knows, how many hours talking about Churchill on this show over the last couple of years.

So I thought it would be really good to get Andrew on and get his perspective on some of the issues that I have about Churchill,

as you know, over the years. Whilst I have a certain admiration for Churchill, I also think he was deplorable human being.

In many ways. And I get the sense that Andrew is a little bit more fond of him than I am.

So I thought it would be an interesting opportunity to just ask him for his perspective on some aspects of Churchill's character that trouble me.

But one of the things I certainly enjoyed about his book was that he does kind of zoom out, give you the full picture.

He has a lot of new material that hasn't been seen before. So I was very excited to read his book and I'm very excited to talk to him.

Yeah, one thing I learned from the book was that Churchill was a redhead. And I think that pretty much, you know, as I married to a redhead,
