I begin today with a confession.

Did go to the game last night.

Got home very late, so you're already talking about a little bit of a sleepless night. My wife also had some car trouble this morning. So I'm pretty bleary-eyed here today. Sometimes the day after the national championship game, you sort of feel that way. Many of you perhaps the same type of deal where if you're like me, you go to bed far earlier on most nights in the national championship game allows you

the chance to. And when it's your own team, Georgia winning, listen, that sleepless night feels

pretty good. But when it's just two teams you don't have any kind of emotional connection to,

perhaps not quite so much. So a little bleary-eyed here today. And yet even in the midst of all

of that, I find myself in a pretty good mood here today.

I find myself feeling pretty optimistic about the topic we always address, which is what's

coming next for the Georgia Bulldogs.

And just to sort of start off with when it comes to the national championship, honestly,

hats off to both teams.

Notre Dame fought pretty hard in this game. I wondered if they'd have the ability to keep it close. And during the game, you sort of wondered if they were going to be able to keep it close. And for the most part, they kind of did. Now, ultimately, Ohio State, you know, did cover the spread pretty cleanly there at the end. But, but Notre Dame kind of took the league to begin with, kind of fought back.

Notre Dame did its part to make the game worth watching last night.

So hats off to the Irish on that.

And in the case of Ohio State, don't like saying this, don't take pleasure in this.

But I would say it is true.

This year, Ohio State was the best team in America.
