Sometimes in life we can go through things and be under authority that we don’t fully understand. In today's episode, Emma Dotter and journal writer/watermark staffer, Catherine Meredith, encourage us in this through John 19. We can have hope that God is sovereign AND good. He is FOR us and he loves us, let’s try to walk in that truth today.

0:39.2 | I love it. Well, Catherine, I know you because we served in Women's Bible Study together, and we both work here at the church. |
0:45.4 | But for those who don't know you, how did you come to know the Lord? And fast forward, where are you at today? |
0:52.2 | Great. Well, I grew up in a home where Jesus was talked about |
0:55.8 | at church, but also inside the home. And so when I was seven, we were at Pinecoe family camp, |
1:01.9 | and I had an opportunity. I had heard the truth of the gospel, but I clearly remember |
1:06.7 | feeling the moment in a conversation of just conviction from the Holy Spirit, realizing, man, I'm a sinner |
1:12.2 | and I need a savior and rescuer, and that was Jesus. And so got to go back and talk with my parents |
1:18.0 | about it and made that decision. And so grew up kind of with that knowledge, but I would say, |
1:25.5 | really in late middle school, I had an opportunity to do some Bible |
1:29.6 | studies, and I started to fall in love with God's word and see what it looks like to not only |
1:33.9 | just know stories about who God is, but to open up the Bible on my own and start to read and discover |
1:39.8 | who God says he is. I love it. And today, you fast forward. |
