I got a couple of reports yesterday about Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, and I thought the reaction from some Georgia fans to it was kind of interesting.

And obviously, I think it speaks to what George is about to go through here with the college football playoff. So let me start with the one that I saw first. I don't know which one actually appeared first. This is just the one I saw first. And then we'll kind of talk about what all this means. Pete Nacos, who's breaking a lot of news these days for On 3. The headline says Georgia quarterback Carson

Beck's expected to miss the college football playoff quarterfinal. So basically mentioning

the Sugar Bowl game coming up against whoever they'll be playing. We'll find that

tonight when Notre Dame takes on Indiana. Reading from NACOS and on 3, what we read is,

is that Georgia quarterback Carson Beck injured his UCL and

his right elbow during the SEC championship earlier this month, and sources tell on three that

Beck is not expected to play in the college football playoff quarterfinal. So what NACOS

mentions there, four on three, big national publication, is just the one game that Carson Beck is not expected to play in that game for the Sugar Bowl.

And as I told you before, a lot of Georgia fans read that story, saw the online chatter about this yesterday,

and their reaction to it was, hold on, wait a second, don't we already know this?

Hasn't that already essentially been confirmed? Isn't that sort of treated as common knowledge

among everybody? Like, why are we doing headlines about this and why is this getting this sort

of official breaking news treatment if it's something that everybody kind of already knew,

which I think is certainly a fair question.

But then we got maybe more information or at least something somewhat new as it relates to this story from another publication, ESPN, who I guess around the same time, at least the same

day, put out a headline that says, sources, colon, Georgia preparing for a college football playoff

without Carson Beck.

So NACOSID-on-3 reports that Carson Beck is out for the Sugar Bowl.
