I'm Gio Cania with me, as always is Eric Schlitt from pride of Detroit.com.

Eric, I know this is the saddest time of the year for you because we have the longest wait possible to the next draft.

We're about 51 weeks away from the 2023 NFL draft, but we can go over the draft results from last

weekend the 22 NFL draft you got to be pretty happy I think yeah yeah I am uh you know

I'm also relieved that it's over like I am I am we are far away but at the same and I've

already like got some notes on the

twenty twenty three guys and stuff but like i i'm feeling awfully relieved that i that i can

because like i said this is your christmas you know and just like the the fun and excitement of

christmas is all the the anxiety and stress that lead up to Christmas Day. That's very true.

Now you have your winding down.

Yeah.

So we got our heading into your New Year's.

All right.

So we have about a month and a week, so about five weeks, I guess, of Lions OTAs coming up here. We've got rookie minicamp next week, next weekend, I assume,

say. And then you get a little break, and then there's basically like four weeks of

OTAs, including a mini camp in the middle of that as well. And then that's it.

So we're going to spend the next like five weeks absorbing as much information as we can about the new guys, how the team is using them in the system.

You know, we're projecting what we think they're going to do right now.

But like, hopefully we'll have a few

more answers uh over the next month and or so and then uh yeah then we get like six weeks where we're

it's just we're just like off you know what i mean and uh we got to fill that time with other
