25 years ago, we were all scared silly by the idea of stranger danger. The terrifying man in the trench coat hiding in an alleyway, ready to pounce and kidnap everyone's children.

Do you remember the trench coat man with the big eyes that we were shown at school in school videos for stranger danger?

Oh yeah! That's such a recessed memory that crawled out from the back of my brain.

I wonder the way I'm visualizing him is it actually what he looked like?

Yeah, because I am imagining a little trilby situation, some big eyes, kind of like the eye-emode, the looking eyes emoji, and a trench coat.

And he'd like hide over a wall and look at children.

Yes!

Or is this like the Mandela effect where I'm just telling you this and now everybody is having this same weird memory?

No, I can't find it. It's your cartoon and my head is a cartoon.

Ah ha!

Anyway, somebody find it for us and maybe we'll continue to look after we finish recording this episode.

But that is what I think of when I think of my childhood and the dangers that we were told about.

Stranger danger, there's a man in a trench coat possibly or possibly not wearing a trilby hiding behind a wall and he's going to get you.

Also, don't cross railways.

Yeah, don't play on the railway tracks. Don't mess around with weager boards.

Exactly.

But what if this danger a stranger wasn't someone lurking on a street corner or hiding in an alleyway?

What if your child didn't even consider them to be a stranger?

What if they weren't even an adult in a trilby and a trench coat?

And worst of all, what if they weren't hiding down a dark alleyway?

But rather, lurking into your life as your child is sitting safely under your own roof.
