My friend Kyle Buchanan, who I'm hoping was going to be joining us on the program in the next few months for reasons that will be explained later.

It has a great new book out. It is called Blood, Sweat, and Chrome, colon, the wild and true story of Mad Max

Fury Road. And he basically, you know, to make us all feel guilty about not

having accomplished enough during the pandemic, he wrote a whole last book where he talked to everybody involved in the torturous lengthy difficult and challenging

production of Mad Max Fury Road and you know usually books like this are about movies that

flopped.

So you know, you get a real nuts and bolts under the hood of like, why, you know,

a bonfire of the vanities went off the rails or what happened to Heaven's Gate. But this is about a good movie, but it's the kind of production that's so insane and delayed and out in the middle of the desert and things go wrong and reshoots that you would think this would be the story of a flop but it's not it's a story of a classic that just was insanely complicated.

Anyway, really readable it's an oral history great interviews with everybody that you want to hear from.
