I am lucky enough that I get to do this for a living, and there are certain days that just don't feel like work.

This weekend was one of those for me, of course, watching Georgia get a win in the SEC championship over Texas and earning a pretty advantageous spot in the college football playoff.

I just soaked up every single moment of it. And I'll tell you how my brain works here just for a second. And maybe this is not the right way to look at it. Maybe, you know, maybe it is. I don't know. It's just authentically how I think about these sort of things. Like there's obviously chance. Kirby's young enough. George is successful enough. They may win like 10 more championships, right? I mean, they may just stack success forever and forever and forever for as many years in the future as we

can all see. That's obviously a possibility given the track record and kind of where they seem to be

in the sort of arc of that storyline. Of course, that could occur. But every time Georgia gets one

of these like really big wins like it did in L.A.

At the conclusion of the 2022 season, a couple of times in that postseason, 2021, when they get one of these like really, really big wins, I always kind of wonder because you're on the field.

You get a chance to a really fun post game show.

The confetti falls down.

Everybody's happy.

It's just a great, it is such a great feeling. And there's a part of me that can't help but wonder, like, will it ever be this good again? Like, you know, this is such a special thing to be a part of. I'm lucky that my time, you know, on this earth sort of coincides with this era for Georgia football. And when you're watching on that play out, you can't help but wonder, like, will it ever be

this good again? And obviously, I would have thought that back in 2022 and all of a sudden,

here we are in 2024. And yet, once again, you get a chance to celebrate one of these just

awesome Georgia wins. And I don't want to

like move past that too quick. Like we got a lot to talk about today. I promise we're going to

do the entire thing, but the quarterback and kind of what Beck's status might be and what

happens if he can't play, we'll do that. There's a lot of due diligence to kind of get to when it comes to college ball playoff. I realize that the transfer portal also opens today. Eventually that's going to be newsy as it relates to Georgia. But I just want to stay parked here for a second. I hope you'll allow me to do that in appreciating what this game was for UGA, because I can tell you.
