This is episode 234, and we are talking to, by way of our great listeners, Mr. Ben Zimmerman,

who does these awesome, awesome, not only reimagined, but new orchestral arrangements for Metallica songs.

Yeah, so sick. And Ben's based out of Germany. We got on the horn early this morning.

It was afternoon for Ben. And, you know, I love this about how this came to fruition.

Jay Middleton, good friend of the show, patron of the show, sent in an email last week,

saying, you guys need to check out Fixer by this dude,

Ben Zimmerman. And I think we realized, Ethan, that we had already been seeing some of his work,

because he's done a bunch of cool shit. He's done creeping death and fade to black, frantic.

Basically, most of the songs that we wished were on the S&M albums. He has done new orchestrations

for it. And so we listened to Fixer together on the

episode and we're, I think we were both pleasantly shocked by how cool it was. Yeah, absolutely. And I mean,

I remember I edited that episode and when I got to that part, like your reaction was so just

genuinely like blown away. Like you were like, oh shit, shit this is fucking cool like well you know how

it is on the internet you never know you never know if stuff's going to be good of course and uh it was

really cool and so i think i think jay had said in that email you guys should talk to him for the

podcast to which i mostly jokingly said but kind of for real was saying if someone wants to figure
