As you all know, on Wednesday night, we had a great privilege to be with Mark Rick for the 2024 Chick-F-A Dog Bowl raising money for Parkinson's Disease Research, Crohn's Disease Research, the Isaacson Center at UGA that's kind of led the way so much and the really innovative, you know, research that's taking place. It's an awesome privilege. And one of the things that's cool about the event is, is that Kirby Smart, his family, Mary Beth's wife, obviously, you know, son, they're on hand for this too. It's really interesting. We had a chance to interview Kirby. We played that for yesterday. I had a chance to interview Marybeth Smart. We obviously had that as part of our live broadcast other night. There was also this weird moment where I don't know how much of our live broadcast really caught this. It's sort of hard to know like what's on camera, what's not, when you're kind of in the midst of all that. But we were going to interview Mary Beth, and yet we got interrupted because they were going to do the national anthem to begin the night. It was a really cool thing. They had a trumpeter from the Red coat band there to play the national anthem. It was

beautiful. And then after that there was the check presentation, but we didn't get to interview

1:16.2

Mary Beth when we thought we were going to because the check presentation was going to take

1:21.0

place. The national anthem was also going to stop the proceedings. Now, there is a rule in television.

1:26.2

And many of you've probably seen this happen before,

1:29.3

that no matter what, when the national anthem starts, you stop.

1:34.8

And whether people can hear the national anthem very well or not, that's just kind of the deal.

1:38.4

We do this in high school football all the time.

1:40.2

We're typically not live when the national anthem takes place.

1:43.1

But I've certainly been a part of

1:44.5

high school broadcast over the years where you would be live and you just sort of stop,

1:48.3

you have the national anthem, and then you move on with whatever's happening next.

1:51.9

And so on this particular night, they were about to do the national anthem, but they hadn't

1:55.1

started it yet. And Kirby smart, knowing that the national anthem was about to take place, seeing his, you know,

2:02.2

wife standing there with me, not wanting any kind of like awkwardness to take place where he didn't

2:07.7

show proper respect to our country, proper respect to our national anthem.

2:11.0

Kirby Smart, being the great patriot that he is, came rushing over to our broadcast position.

2:16.0

I don't know if this got picked up on camera or not,
