The typical cadence of a football calendar is that by the time you get into the season,

recruiting oftentimes kind of quiets down just a little bit.

You know, the typical tradition is a lot of recruits want to make their commitment announcement

kind of just prior to the start of their senior year.

That's the idea of I'm going to focus on my team, focus on maybe trying to win a state

championship.

I'm going to get the recruiting part over so that I can focus on all of this.

And because of that, not every recruit does it that way.

And there's nothing that says you have to do it that way, but many recruits do.

And so because of that and because of the, I guess,

the expedition of the, you know, recruiting calendar, we now have early signing period in December,

whereas it used to be signing day only in February. We've seen the earlier portion of the summer

become really the hottest time for recruiting, like June, for instance, first weekend in June,

second weekend in June. These are the busiest times of the year, oftentimes, for that

recruiting calendar when the major visits oftentimes take place. And so therefore, because all

the action happens in the summer, because a lot of guys like to commit before they start playing

their senior years, sometimes it sort of feels like the recruiting process during the season
