Musa is a sociologist and assistant professor in the School of Communications and Journalism at Stony Brook University.

He is a columnist for The Guardian and has written for the New York Times, the Washington Post,

the Atlantic, and other publications, but most procedurally, he has appeared on Blocked and reported as of now.

We're here to discuss your first book, which is coming out in October. We have never been woke, the cultural contradiction of a new elite.

This is a book I've been waiting for someone to write for a long time. I think it's a book our

listeners will definitely want to read in addition to the fact that it's just a damn good

book and it's like really you pack a huge amount of information in there, but keep it very brisk, especially for an academic press title.

It's basically a buffet of blocked and reported topics, except done in a high-brow way rather than via our trademark idiocy.

So this book has everything from multiple race fakers, all sorts of social justice

blow-ups. There's even a sciencing by appearance that our older listeners are a science

by appearance, our older listeners, or the listeners we've had the longest will get that.

So page after page of an informative academic gloss on bar pod controversies.

I don't know how I could better recommend the book for

our audience. You guys should definitely pre-order it. It's very excited to talk

about your book, which we will do in a moment, but first, before you wrote
