Lots to talk about the, I guess, the initial 53, not the final 53. You know, we can talk about

the last game of the preseason. The Shane and Dable Presser today will touch on the next 10

and the countdown. I will comment that I got nine. I got nine of the 10 right on the top 10,

but we'll get into that later. We'll brag a little bit. But first, Chris's tweet or ex post,

whatever you want to call it. I didn't know this was happening. I think this is awesome. If you

are a giant historian, you've got to love this. Chris posts malik neighbors will wear number one and received

permission from the family of giants legend ray flerity flerity's number was the first retired in

pro football history quite an honor absolutely dude quite an honor is right man that is awesome

unbelievable right oh man that's so cool i love it jerry how about the

first number retired and pro football history it's incredible yeah right yep that giant's history

pro football history unbelievable incredible and here and his belief neighbors you, coming in there and receiving permission and he wants

to wear number one and he got it. And Flavity family, you know, said, yeah, get ahead. Knock

yourself out and wear it, you know, wear it well, which we all show, we're all sure that he will.

And so it's just quite an cop. That's quite an honor for Malik Navas,'s a, it's a gigantic honor, you know, and even he was humble enough to, you know, the Giants

posted his quote.

I don't want to, I don't want to misquote it, but the Giants posted his quote on all social

media, basically that it's an honor for him.

You know, it seems like a kid has his head on straight. And, you know, thank you to the Flarity family for allowing me where number one. I understand the responsibility with everything in my power to honor the Flarity family in this organization. I'll wear the number with great pride. Can't wait for the season to start. So look, Giants have a lot of question marks. That's a real feel good thing going into the season dude I know it's a number but it's just I think that stuff's awesome dude love it yeah yeah absolutely I thought it was we got the text on the way home from the Giants on our phones and you know the and I was like wow this is I'm like I had to make sure I read first I'm I'm driving and I'm trying to make sure I'm reading it right yeah and then I'm like wait minute the first number retired and pro football hit like wait a minute wait a man giant's history no pro football I'm like whoa I mean I almost had a freaking accent I was trying to read this damn thing yeah you know and I was like holy shit so that was that was pretty quite an for Malik. He'll wear number one. He had nine on today to practice. So everything was done after the practice, he'll have one on from here on and out for Malik. Hopefully 10 to 15 years in a giant uniform, right? Jerry, that's the goal. Yeah, and I think Papa mentioned that on the podcast or on the one of those specials. I forget where he said it, that that Flaherty's number was the first one retired. But man, what an honor. It's awesome. And I felt like, you know, I know Gano was nine, but you just felt like even if he could have somehow gotten nine, it just felt like it wasn't going to stick. Like he was changing from nine for whatever reason those of you um you know who wanted to wait on the jersey good job uh waiting and not getting it too early and now number one's a cool jersey to wear too man i mean i mean you know uh you can now go out and get your number one jerseys yeah there you go and i think if he has a big first game that's going to be one of the top selling jerseys in the league.
