parents house in England. What's worst is I'm supposed to be into a wedding in two days

and I feel gross. I just keep sniffing and sniffling and I was waking

all night with the soft throat which yeah not good. Anyway this is the

23rd episode the The Victor Prep Vocal Podcast. Let's get started. The words from episode

22 were livid, livid. That meant furiously angry enraged mad seething with anger

Axiom a noun means a truth that requires no proof, a universally accepted rule or principle.

Discerning, that means showing good judgment.

And our final word was striated. Striated, that meant striped,

patterned with bands or grooves. Now, I know you're excited about the new words so let's get going with those.

Our first word is latent, latent, that's spelled L-A-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B-T-E-N-T, latent. It's an adjective, and latent, and latent means existing, and latent means existing but not yet visible or manifest. So that sounds a bit confusing. So what does that really mean? Let's say you have a sports player, a soccer player or a tennis player, but they're quite young and no one really knows yet

if they're going to be a great soccer player.

However, this person may have skills inside them

that no one has really seen yet.

But when they start to play, everyone realizes, whoa,

they're actually a really amazing soccer player so that child

had latent skills or you might imagine you had a friend at school who was very quiet and shy and then one time they tried to try acting and it turned out that they were an amazing actor as soon as they came on the stage, they just blossomed and bloomed and

were so outgoing and funny and charismatic. That person had a latent talent. This is something that is dormant inside someone and usually

latent can be applied to people but it can be applied to other things. So you could have an illness or disease that is in a latent state.

It has the potential to be a bad illness, but currently it is hidden or concealed.

So you could try thinking of some skill you have that you didn't always know you had,

so that skill was latent inside you.
