Rory, before everyone considered this lion's, they set off, everyone said, this is a ridiculous itinerary.

There's a good chance to lose all three.

Did that accord to what you thought?

Yeah, going into, I think everything's based around the test series, isn't it?

And when you actually look at the New Zealand franchise and the quality within their squad,

you felt that the Lions would be battered and bruised with the six games leading into the first test.

And then obviously the midweek game in between the first and second test.

But the Lions proved us all wrong

in many ways and actually as it

turned out it probably took that
