0:00.0 | Hello again, everybody, and welcome to a very special edition of the Jim Coronet experience. |
0:24.6 | We are cult casting to the millions and millions of cult of Cornette followers out there today, ecstatic in the knowledge that Jim Coronet presents behind the curtain real pro wrestling stories funded in record time on Kickstarter, but there's more work to do folks and also the details of how you can potentially be in the book, plus in other news, you can't smarten some people up, I may have said another record in professional wrestling, we're going to test Brian |
0:54.6 | this week and see for sure, and our guest today is going to be famed manager, photographer and wine expert, the super mouth himself, Dave Drase, and all the way from Detroit, but right now, my gosh, I'm, I'm all for climped, I'm blowed up, I don't know whether I have the the oxygen left to introduce this man, he is my co host, but he's Mr. co host to you. |
1:19.0 | Brian Brian, the podcasting line, the King of the Arcadian Vanguard network, formerly the post office playboy, but now big daddy, he is the great Brian last, although hot Jim, I will always be the post office playboy, let's just make sure you understand that, and once again, I'm broadcasting from this giant room, I apologize in advance for any echo, and to everyone who had any audio issues on this week's drive through, I know it. |
1:43.0 | There was a glitch in the file, but if you refresh and download again, as you could have done within a couple hours of it, everything should be fine, as you could have done, it was their fault, they didn't just refresh a couple hours, but I knew that you would not be able to make it through any opening bit, bit of business, banter, witty repartee or anything else that we did without mentioning that you rectified, you rectum fired the situation with the drive through a few days ago, very quickly. |
2:12.9 | And I grab was very quick, but for a while, it was the special dark side of the moon mix where I was in one channel and you were in the other. |
2:20.9 | And for people who were only listening one year, they thought we were both talking to the invisible man, I thought it was one of them outlaw mud shows. |
2:28.4 | But fortunately, we we had the wrong was right, and it was just a special Allen Parsons engineering mix up that was quickly fixed when you got on it will never have Alan do the show again momentary lapse. |
2:42.8 | Terry lapse of freeze. |
2:46.7 | Oh, fuck well, we're we're entertaining seven percent of the audience today already we went real quick and I'm going to put you on the spot today, my son. |
2:56.8 | Testing your knowledge of a certain thing I want I want to see if you can stump me or prove me wrong in any way in this wrestling oriented thing, but the reason why I'm by so happy. |
3:08.3 | Apparently, this is a good thing, the Kickstarter for Jim Cornette presents behind the curtain real pro wrestling stories with IDW limited 90 W publishing went up on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. went live as the kids say. |
3:25.1 | And we are recording this early on Wednesday morning, because I've had a snafu yesterday, the tree tremors came early, we couldn't record. |
3:33.4 | So, but as of this morning about 23 hours later, we we we were funded in at less than a day, I understand that's that's that's pretty hot stuff. |
3:42.4 | That's pretty good stuff. Most people don't get to that point within 24 hours. Congratulations. |
3:48.2 | Well, you know, see, I'm I'm quick with everything boom. I don't take a lot of time for anything anymore, because I don't have much time left. So, but now we have more work to do it. I will tell you why, because it's still open for another 29 days and already. |
4:02.8 | Even though the people at the boss that I'm talking to Eric over at IDW now, he will pinch a penny until the Buffalo Farts, right, because he explained to me. |
4:13.1 | You know, these are Brandon Easton is a ward winning writer, and he's been nominated for an Eisner award and Dennis Medrius is a ward winning in his field of artists of and they they have a bunch of other work and there's the page counts and there's the printing and everything. |
4:29.4 | I said, hey, we're going to raise some more money because we're going to add some more pages. So they have already admitted now that if we get to 35, which apparently shouldn't be too much of an issue, we're getting an extra eight or 10 pages. |
4:41.2 | But anyway, in all seriousness, I want to thank everybody that that that did jump on the first the first contributor was the $1,000 guy that got to be Flair's pilot. I swear to God, that was the first one and he's tweeted me and I've retweeted him and everything, but a bunch of people have jumped in on on the good spots and there's still some things left and we're looking at adding some of the perks or something similar that have already sold out. |
5:10.2 | We're going to go over that in a minute, but so anyway, we are doing the book. There's no question about that now it's a question of how big and how thick the book is I tweeted hashtag we need a bigger book, but just real quickly and I'm on the wrong screen on my deal, but obviously you can still kick in 25 bucks and get a copy of the book and a digital copy you can kick in 40 and get a copy of the book signed limited edition, they're sending me the plates like they do with comics and cards and stuff. |
5:40.2 | And that's going to be cool. That's the only place that this edition signed series will be offered 60 bucks. You get all that plus Dennis is going to do a gym cornette and the midnight express lithograph sketch for lithographs and where we're doing we're signing those 200 bucks and Brian, you don't know about this yet, but the people who kick in 200 bucks, including all this. |
