This month we're raising money for the Spot Project.

As you know, the Spot Project in Gambia is where Sam and I first met out of the freshly,

and out of that freshly grounded was born, ahem de la.

So it has a very, very close place in our hearts.

This year we're raising money for a health clinic

where women can give birth safely. Currently women in this village of Chamiya

often have to travel by a donkey car and a ferry across the sea for hours

to the nearest hospital to give birth.

The health clinic completely changes that.

I'm also kind of giving you guys like the context of this building

as a health clinic

although it's actually like a multi-purpose building but the focus really for me

for this campaign is on the health clinic and I've explained why in previous

episodes and I think it resonates a lot with all of us that like

the basic premise of like giving birth should be done in a manner where at

least it's safe and like the aftercare is safe so donate to that a spot project

dog for us that's freshly grounded. To give you guys some like context as to like

how much we're trying to raise as well. The very first year we ever did any fundraising was probably I think like five years ago now for Spot and we took part in the 2K challenge and even though we were just wanting to raise, or we were looking to raise 2K,

we raised, I believe that year or the year off to raise about 8K

when we did a 2K challenge.
