Hello, amazing, last she said at listeners. As promised here is our first bonus episode of

season 10 featuring your stories. We asked for your voicemails that tell us what triggered your

faith journey. What brought on those big changes? So here are the stories of 10 women. And if you would like to share

your story, we would love to share it as well. Enjoy. Like many others, my faith changed during the

pandemic. With more time on my hands, came more TV watching. My husband and I happened upon the show,

seeking sister wives, which led to discussions of polygamy. And for some reason, I felt like this time

I couldn't just shelf my concerns, and a fuse was lit. I then watched Heather Gay on Real Housewives

of Salt Lake City, grieve the loss of her marriage, her faith, and her community. And it was clear

this wasn't a lack of knowledge. She

can answer church questions better than I could, and yet the church wasn't good news, but a source

of pain, and a fuse was lit. It was also during this time that four of my husband's siblings

chose to leave the church, and I saw my mother-in-law be ripped apart by what that meant for her

eternal family, but also if it was all her fault as their mother,

and another fuse was lit. I also had a daughter ask why she couldn't pass the sacrament,

and it was almost an out-of-body experience, as I listened to myself tell her the answer I had

always told myself, and I realized in that moment it wasn't enough for her, and another fuse was lit.

Finally, I realized a checklist of

quote-unquote choices to make in order to get into heaven didn't align with the Jesus I knew,

and another fuse was lit. I still don't remember the moment. All those fuses met at the bottom of

the pedestal that I'd had the church on, and it exploded, leaving the church instantly on the same

level as any other man-made institution.

I'm still sorting out Jesus and the divine from the handprints of that institution and what this all means for my faith.
