It is so great to have football back.

So much fun yesterday coming out of Athens, whether it be the Kirby Smart Press

conference, which you probably saw on the Dog Nation YouTube page or all kinds of stuff there

at Dognation.com, including some insight from having observed some of Georgia's football practice.

In fact, we'll have some of that for you here coming up in just a couple of minutes.

Prior to that, though, you know, I want to begin this way

because I really felt like if you're a Georgia fan and you're paying close attention to the

ongoing proceedings in Athens yesterday, you probably got yourself some fairly pleasantly surprising news.

You know, one of the things that we have talked about a lot over the

course of the off season is that one of Georgia's most popular players and one of the players that

think a lot of the fans believe has the potential of a very promising career at Georgia on the other

side of an injury recovery is running back Branson Robertson. This has been true now for a good while.

We saw what Robinson could be in the conclusion of the 2022 season, the national championship game.

But unfortunately, a training camp injury a year ago kept him off the field for all of 2023.

And the one thing that I've been trying to do around here, now I'm not a medical expert, of course,

but just kind of using my history of being around football as kind of a guide here.

One thing I've tried to do on the show a lot during this offseason is preach a little bit of caution and a whole lot of patience in terms of a guy like Robinson, who we absolutely believe is every bit the prospect he ever was, despite the fact that he's been dealing with an injury.

But in terms of fulfilling all that potential as a player, hey, let's give him some time.
